SPRING is a company mainly engaged in manufacturing and selling acrylic aquariums, and during the pandemic it produced many partition boards for restaurants and other establishments by using it’s acrylic processing technology.
Kento Nishimuro, operations manager at SPRING, said, “We collect, free of charge, items that companies across the country used during the COVID-19 pandemic. If left as they are, they would become garbage, so we take them in for recycling.”

Because large acrylic boards are treated as industrial waste, it costs money to dispose so the company focused on “capsule toys” to make use of acrylic boards that were no longer needed.
