Fujiyoshida City in Yamanashi Prefecture has announced some enhanced safety measures for Arakurayama Sengen Park during the cherry blossom season, when large numbers of tourists are expected to converge on the area. The measures include an increase in portable toilets and earlier implementation of traffic restrictions.

Although the city has decided to cancel this year's cherry blossom festival at Arakurayama Sengen Park in order to reduce the burden on local residents, it anticipates that a large number of visitors will still arrive during the cherry blossom season, and is therefore strengthening its safety measures accordingly.
