Ｏn July 1st, the Yamanashi side of Mount Fuji, the Yoshida Route opened at 3 a.m. marking the start of the climbing season.

This year, to ease congestion, cashless payment was newly introduced for the 4,000-yen passage fee at the 5th Station, allowing payment by credit card or QR code, and climbers were immediately seen using cashless payment.

They then passed through the gate one after another and set off at their own pace toward the summit of Mount Fuji.
