The main tourist season has officially begun on Mt. Fuji. The Fuji Subaru Line, a road leading to the mountain's 5th station in Yamanashi Prefecture, has now fully opened, drawing large crowds of visitors.

The scenic route opened completely on the 18th, five days earlier than last year. On the 20th, a steady stream of large buses and other vehicles could be seen passing through the tollgates.
