The Three-Hour Queue for a World-Famous View
On April 6th, as the cherry blossoms bloomed at the park, daily increase in visitors were seen, leading to significant congestion. Tourists climbing the nearly 400 steps are all headed for the same destination: a mountainside observation deck.
The reward is a world-famous view of Mt. Fuji, a five-story pagoda, and cherry blossoms all in one in a single frame. This iconic scenery attracts 200,000 visitors from Japan and abroad every year during this season.
Despite not helding the festival, the crowds are no different from previous years.
