A rehearsal for climbing restrictions was held at the 5th Station on the Yamanashi side of Mt. Fuji ahead of the mountain’s July 1st opening. This year, cashless payment for the passage fee will be newly introduced with the aim of easing congestion.

On the Yamanashi side of Mt. Fuji, during the summer climbing season beginning July 1st, climbers heading above the 5th Station are required to pay a passage fee of 4,000 yen per person, and climbing restrictions are enforced, not to allow lightly equipped climbers.
