Two American climbers who were ascending Mt. Fuji to ski were rescued by police and firefighters after becoming stranded near the mountain’s 9th station on the Yamanashi Pref. side.

According to the police, the two people involved were both American, a 26 year old male photographer and a 27 year old female who identified herself as a ski instructor.
